Story
On 13 July, our lovely mum passed away. On 6 September, a group of her nearest and dearest will be doing a night walk along one of her favourite routes (as in the picture above), to raise money for the Irish Cancer Society’s Night Nursing service.
The Irish Cancer Society Night Nursing service provides end of life care for cancer patients in their own home, allowing them to pass away at home surrounded by family and loved ones as well as giving much needed respite for the family caring for them.
This service helped us and mum enormously and is more in demand than ever due to the pandemic, as more and more people want to stay at home for their last days. As demand has recently increased up to 76% in some parts of the country, the service is in real need of funding. Any help you can give is so greatly appreciated by us and by all who use it.
