Fundraising for Scope
Story
So...sadly I was unable to take part in the 2019 London marathon due to injury, but have gratefully been able to defer my place to 2020 and am raring to go!!!!!
After watching my best friend Ginny cross the finishing line in 2019, I am more motivated than ever to getting back and having the same amazing experience next year!
Of course, it will all still be in memory of darling Sylvia.
Anybody who knows me will know how close Sylvia, our amazing family friend who I looked at as a grandparent, was to me and my Mam. Sylvia was in our lives for as long as I can remember and unfortunately we lost her in 2018. As an elderly disabled lady, when at times it was out of our control to help her - Sylvia didn’t have the support network that she needed in her final days. Sylvia was the kindest lady I ever knew, and was treated in ways that nobody deserves.
Scope is an amazing charity who take care of people just like Sylvia, some of whom don’t have that support network and, by running the marathon, I pledge to do my bit to raise money for such a brilliant cause in the hope that a charity such as Scope can continue to make sure that what happened to Sylvia doesn’t happen to other people.
Please sponsor me and help me raise as much money as possible for this wonderful cause. LETS DO THIS 2020 LONDON MARATHON!!!!!!!!
