Nikki's walk, 2km daily for 2 weeks

Walk 2km daily for 2 weeks · 18 May 2022
In April 2021, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer, Lymphoma. Cancer was in my blood, kidneys, liver, spleen, lymph nodes and bones. I spent most of May, June and July in the Marsden, day and night, receiving Chemotherapy. I am truly blessed by the staff there, my friends & family, school and God. Without all of this my journey wouldn't be so positive. Mike and Victoria were so well looked after, as I wasn't with them, which allowed me to focus on getting well, and healing.
I had my last Chemo Intrathecal treatment in August 2021 and told that I am in remission in September 2021.
I am doing this now as I am beginning to feel stronger and more capable but aware that the journey of recovery is still continuing. I hope my leg muscles can get stronger in this challenge. It will be a challenge to do 2km each day for 2 weeks. I know this would be easy for some people, but I lost a huge amount of strength and stamina.
Please support Cancer Research UK as (quite seriously) I wouldn't be here.
God bless you.
Nikki
