The Fan Dance - Winter Edition

The Fan Dance - Winter Edition · 5 January 2020
Most of you will know that on 3rd August 2019 we were given the devastating news that our little boy had a brain tumour. It is every parents worst nightmare to see your child critically ill but we are beyond grateful for the incredible care, expertise and kindness that we as a family all received.
We were told Oscar would not survive a few more days without having an emergency operation followed by open brain surgery to remove the tumour. After 15 hours in theatre (this was by far the hardest time for us) Oscar was cared for on Daisy (HDU) and Bluebell Ward, where he recovered brilliantly. He’s now back at school and almost back to doing all the things he loves. We are truly grateful for The Children’s Hospital and the expert team including ED doctors, his neurosurgeons and anaesthetist, nurses and physios and would love to give something back.
Please support Nick, myself and a group of our amazing (crazy) friends as we endure a 24km SAS test March staged over Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons on 5th January 2020. We are all training hard and we’re excited / nervous for the event!
Thank you for helping to support this wonderful charity which will always be close to our hearts.
Love Nikki xx
