Story

The dreaded "C" word is one that no person or family wants to hear, each and every story is different but the pain, uncertainty and fear is something we all endure when we are given the news that you or your loved one has the dreaded "C".

Late 2017 my awesome Daddy Lansley (a.k.a Big Fella) was diagnosed with Throat Cancer, the news rocked us to the very core. Thankfully after intense treatment of Chemo and radiotherapy this first chapter in our story was positive, he'd beaten it!  Sadly however cancer had other ideas, this time in the form of skin cancer. As dad continues his battle to keep it bay with immunotherapy i have decided to do all i can to fight with him and raise much needed fund to finally put a stop to the horrid "C" word!

With that in mind i have signed up to a series of event throughout 2020 all of which will lead me up to the main event in August....IRONMAN Copenhagen 140.6 miles consisting of 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile Bike and Marathon run....utter madness!!

In the lead up to this event i will also be taking part in number of smaller events:

  1. 2.5k Swimathon (March)
  2. Fell Run up Pen Y Fan Brecon Beacons (March)
  3. 75 mile Windsor Sportive (May)
  4. Windsor Olympic distance Triathlon (June)
  5. Farmoor 70.3 (half Ironman) Triathlon (July)
