Our popular challenge, 10,000 Steps a Day in February, is back! This February, we’re inviting you to move for a mission: helping us accelerate the search for a cure for all types of brain tumours.

Story

Hello everyone, my name is Erin and I am 7 years old.

I want to tell you about someone very special to me, my great Uncle Matt. Matt is very kind and funny and always makes me laugh. Right now, he is being very brave because he is battling a life limiting brain tumour, which is a very cruel and serious illness.

In February, I am going to walk 10,000 steps every single day. That’s a lot of steps for a little girl, but I want to do it to help raise money for brain tumour research. I am doing this for my Uncle, and for other families who are going through the same scary thing.

Brain tumours can affect anyone, even really good people, and more research is needed to help doctors find better treatments and one day a cure. I hope that by walking lots of steps, I can help make a difference, even if it’s a small one.

Any money you can spare would mean so much to me and my family. Every pound helps scientists learn more and gives hope to people like my Uncle Matt.

Thank you so much for listening, for supporting me, and for helping to fight this horrible disease. I will be thinking of my Uncle with every step I take.

Thank you 💖
