Welcome to the Warwick Kilimanjaro Challenge Campaign 2021! These incredible students are taking on the challenge of a lifetime all whilst helping in the fight against meningitis and septicaemia.

Story

In September 2022 I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro (5895m), Africas tallest mountain, in aid of the Meningitis Research Foundation. This charity funds research and raises awareness of Meningitis and Septicaemia. These two diseases are the second biggest infectious killer of children under the age of 5 on the planet, affecting more than 2.8 million people every year. They can kill you within 12 hours and are responsible for more deaths of children under 5 than malaria, measles, tetanus and AIDS combined.

Meningitis is also very common among students, which is why I have chosen to support this charity. For the next 10 months I will be organising and participating in various fundraisers in order to individually raise £3440. But I will not be able to do this without YOU ! It would be great if you could donate, and also share my fundraising page with your friends and family. Every donation will be highly appreciated, and will go directly to the Meningitis Research Foundation to help raise awareness of the symptoms of meningitis, septicaemia, fund lifesaving research and support bereaved families.

Thank you in advance for all your generosity and support, and feel free to follow me on my adventure !

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
