As many of you will know my lovely mother Maria Joselin lost her battle to bowl cancer in 2016 as well as my uncle David Joselin who passed on a couple of months later. After many operations Chemo's and fighting the cancer finally took its toll.

Too many of us have been affected, or are being affected by this horrible disease. The more we can raise the more it will benefit the families, loved ones and allow them to further the research for a cure.

Ive decided to run (yes run) the hackney half marathon. Now I know most of you think I couldn't run for a bus and this to be fair is true, the only thing that brings me out in a sweat is the thought of a salad. To give you an idea of the size of the task I am currently weighing in at 21 st and only have 111 days to do it with no prior training .................. there will be sweat pain and tears along the way

St Joseph’s Hospice opened in Hackney in 1905, and since then has been caring for and supporting people affected by serious illness in eight London boroughs. We work to improve the quality of life of more than 2,100 patients with life-limiting conditions each year, helping them live life to the full, to the very last. We have to raise £19,000 each day to keep our vital services running and available to the 2.2 million people in our diverse community, so every penny raised for our hospice is really important, and very much appreciated.
