With your help and motivation, I ran 10km in 1:05! Thanks so much to everyone who donated, you guys are the best.
It still isn't too late to donate! If this is your first time visiting this page, take a read of why I decided to run this race and see the impact that a even a small donation could have. Any further donations will be very appreciated.
Thanks again for your support❤️

On the 18th November 2018, I will be running 10K to raise as much money as possible for the Movember Foundation. Movember is a charity which specialises in improving the standards of men's living on a global scale. In short, our fathers, partners, brothers and friends are facing a health crisis that isn’t being talked about. Men are dying too young. This needs to change. Your support is needed now more than ever, as statistics such as 'Suicide is the most common cause of death for men aged 20-49 in the UK' (https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/statistics/mental-health-statistics-suicide) highlight.
One of the main issues surrounding male suicide is that too many men are suffering alone. The unwritten rules of society mean that men tell themselves to 'tough it out' and 'deal with it' which is not fair and unsurprisingly, leads to the deterioration of mental health. Movember are looking at mental health through a male lens- and taking action to improve the overall mental stability of men to reduce the risk of suicide.
Already, 1200 men's health projects have been funded in the UK. Your donation will help Movember fund thousands more, and make a difference in the quality of men's lives.
The thought of any of my close male friends and family suffering in silence is frightening; so I have decided to raise a minimum of £350.00 for Movember by running 10K this November. Running this distance will be no easy task, but having seen the work this charity are doing has given me the motivation I need to run this race well.
All I need now are your donations! Any amount you're able to donate will mean the absolute world to me and will definitely improve the wellbeing of men across the country. Please donate what you can and help me reach my target in time for the race in November!
***UPDATE
Thanks for all your donations so far! With 7 weeks to go till the run, I have been running more than ever in my life before. 😂
Obviously, I still find time to watch TV and recently I just finished watching 'Bodyguard' (a programme on BBC1, would 10/10 recommend). Something caught my attention which linked to the reason why I started this all in the first place. The main, male character is obviously suffering with some sort of PTSD from living in the Middle East with the military and yet this is overlooked by everyone around him, who still expect him to do his job well as a police officer. Whenever he makes a mistake, he is often told to 'get help,' or 'you need help,' without anyone actually offering to help him. I found this particularly difficult to watch as no male should feel the need to continue to keep such high standards at work while they are suffering.
Thank you❤️
