Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
My nephew John decided that as soon as he turned 16 he wanted to do a Skydive for our charity, and being a gullible Aunty I agreed to join him. Add to that an old pact between two friends to jump out a plane together, and we welcomed Jim to the event!!
Jumping out of a plane is not natural, in fact it's pure wrong and goes against everything that is mentally sound. But to be able to do something out of ones comfort zone and raise money for this Charity, that is so close to our hearts, is an exciting and terrifying prospect.
Message from John:
I always thought I was your average Essex boy, until I decided that I would jump out of a plane that is 12,000ft in the air for charity. I will be 16 and 14 days old and would love to make 17!!I hope this inspires you all, but please for your sake do not try this at home!
I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly, I believe I can fly
I believe I can fly........
Let's hope so!!!!
The YJS Trust is a charitable trust Nina helped set up with her family and friends in memory of her mother after she died of cancer in 2003. Over the last 11 years they have raised lots of money for good causes and currently focus on cancer patient care. They have donated to and continue to support the complementary Cancer treatment center run by the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity. Before Helen died in 1999 she said "Good quality of life while dealing with cancer is the greatest gift a patient can receive and it should be available to all." This simple but powerful belief is at the heart of everything we want to achieve at the YJS Trust and we will continue to support good causes that comply with that message.
By donating YOU are helping us help people with cancer.
