Story

Rightly or wrongly I've signed up to climb the highest peak in Africa and actually the tallest freestanding peak in the world

In October 2023 I'll will be donning the hiking boots for an 8 day trek up Mt Kilimanjaro, Tanzania where we will climb the 5895 meters / 19,341 ft above sea level to the summit all whilst camping and with no showers... Sorry anyone joining at the top!

I am raising money for Women's Aid UK and for the fantastic work they do to support women and children to escape domestic violence in the UK.

An estimated 1.6 million women aged 16 to 74 years experienced domestic abuse in 2019 and those numbers exploded during lockdowns and ever since.

After personally living through a form of domestic abuse and someone close to me has had to use the amazing services at Women's Aid UK we couldn't think of a better charity to support on this hike!

I understand that things are tight for a lot of people at the moment but, as Tesco's have very kindly pointed out over the years 'Every Little Helps'.

Thank you for showing your support!!
