Story
Hello,
I am very happy to share that my son, Misha, may receive a service dog! He was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) in January 2020 which means being an insulin-dependent for the entire life.
There are numerous tasks diabetic service dogs can be trained in. In Misha’s case, the dog’s primary task will be to alert us of an oncoming hypoglycemic or hyperglycemic event (low or high blood sugar). This way, we can take an action before the problem turns into a medical emergency.
The dog will also provide Misha with unconditional love when he needs a friend, being his constant companion.
This is a big step in our life, and I welcome any thoughts or prayers sent our way and if you feel inclined to donate to Little Angels, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for all of your love and support, it means the world to Misha and our family!
With Gratitude,
Nina
