Story
Nina is trying raising money towards toward the Alzheimer’s Society. She hopes that one day they will find a cure and be able to transform life for people with dementia forever! She is doing an Elf day at her school, & has asked to set up this page to support her fundraising...
“A few years ago my Nanny was diagnosed with dementia, and it broke my heart. It makes me so sad that things will never be the same again for us. I love how she always has a big smile as soon as she sees me, and how I can do funny little things that make her laugh - then I know she’s happy. I get upset everyday because I know that she recognises me now, but one day she might not. It’s been even more upsetting this year because we haven’t even been allowed to visit her because of coronavirus. I don’t want Nanny to ever forget me, or leave me because of this horrible thing that upset her brain. I chose this charity as part of my Civic Award, because it means so much to me that by raising even a little bit of money, I might be able to help, just in a small way, in the search for a cure. If Nanny knew, I hope she would be very proud of me” Nina x
If you can help Nina raise money, even if just a little amount, please donate below. Thank you xx
Until the day they find a cure, the Alzheimer’s Society will work to create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
