Story
Hello and thank you for coming to take a look at my page.
On Friday 17th May 2019 a team of us will be climbing the UK Three Peaks. This involves climbing the highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is approximately 2064 metres. The total driving distance is 462 miles (mountain to mountain).
The 24-hour clock starts from the moment we begin to climb Ben Nevis. From there, the 24 hours includes both walking time and travel between the mountains - approximately 13 hours hill walking and 11 hours driving (excluding travel time to Ben Nevis)!
It has been a very long time since I have taken part in a challenge like this so I am looking forward to it. We are raising money for 2 charities – East Cheshire Hospice for our colleagues in Radbroke and First Love Foundation for us in London.
Since 2010, First Love Foundation have helped thousands of people in the UK's most deprived boroughs get their lives back on track. First Love Foundation is a charity run Food Bank Centre in Tower Hamlets, London. They provide food, support and advice to people who are
facing crisis in their lives. They also work in partnership with the Child
Poverty Action Group, the London Borough of tower Hamlets and a network of over 250 external agencies. Together, with their Corporate partners and volunteers they transform lives as they work towards building a stronger and more secure community.
Thanks
