Story
Hello everyone!
Some of you may know that I have a skin condition called "psoriasis".
This is something that affects many people in different ways but personally it has caused periodic discomfort for me.
Recently I came across an online platform "The psoriasis association" where members can share personal experiences, get advice and talk with others.
The Psoriasis Association is trying to make people aware of the condition and raise money for Important research.
Currently there is no government funding support for this association and therefore I will be walking a total of 100 miles in the month of February to raise important funds.
There is no current 100% cure developed for this condition and it is quite a worry for many many people as it can effect the daily lives.
For me it started approx 23 years ago but I didnt even know what I had and just carried on with life, but over the coming years it started to make more of an impact on me which led me to seeing a dermatologist.
It mainly causes sudden flare ups of the skin and can range from mild discomfort to severe itchy burn and pain.
For me it seems to affect me mainly during the cold winter periods where days are very short. But this might not be the underlying reason, it can be diet or even stress related.
Currently I manage through skin ointments but the last few years have been quite difficult and I seem to experience more severe burn and pain on different areas.
It would be so nice if anyone can help support the organisation and donate some money.
Thank you
Nish
