Beds and Herts Historic Churches Trust was established in 1991 to raise and manage funds to help the restoration and repair of churches and chapels in the counties of Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.

St. Mary the Virgin, Westmill is fortunate to have received a very generous grant from BHHCT towards the repair of the roof and therefore I set myself a challenge in taking part in their annual "Bike ’n Hike" event this year.

On Saturday 8th September I set off from Westmill and visited a total of 33 churches around the Stevenage and Buntingford area. In total (on one of the hottest days of the year!), I covered 70 miles by the time I returned to Westmill at the end of the day.

50% of the sponsorship I raise goes directly to St. Mary’s Westmill as my nominated church, so if you haven;t sponsored me yet, please dig deep and donate now!
