In June 2018, Steve Jones, the current president of Norwich Last Stand was seriously injured following a motorcycle accident in rural North Norfolk. Steve had suffered such horrific injuries that if it were not for the combined efforts of the East of England Ambulance Service and the East Anglian Air Ambulance, he would not have survived.
Thankfully, and on a much lighter note, Steve is a Necron Overlord, and so was able to reanimate (yes, he did roll many 5s and 6s when in hospital too!) but it remains to be said, that without EAAA he would not be here today. On Saturday 3rd August 2019, we hosted a Warhammer 40,000 doubles event to both raise greater awareness of the life saving work that EAAA do, as well as to help raise funds for them do so 24/7 from their Norwich base. This was done in collaboration with other clubs, venues and local businesses. The EAAA is a local treasure and we also seek to galvanise greater support from the East Anglian tabletop community too.
