This year has been an especially hard one for me, watching cancer take yet another life far before its time. I am one of the many lucky individuals whose lives has been made so much better by knowing Hils Bentwood. Simply put, Hils was a force of nature and nothing short of a super woman. Hils was as hardcore as they come; leaving chemo to jump straight back on her bike and teach spin, leaving spin to get straight back in the gym, doing it all with a smile on her face and remaining unparalleled in her kindness and warmth. Watching Hils fight cancer with grace, perseverance and true determination taught me what it looks like to be a warrior in life. She was my mentor, role model, and friend, if everyone could be a little more Hils, the world would be a better place. 

Although there is not a lot I can do to take on cancer itself at the moment, Macmillan do a wonderful job supporting those living with cancer and their families, and therefore any little I can do to support this fab orgnaisation, is a job well done. So for now, I will put on my trainers and be a little more hardcore myself.
