Bardet-Biedl syndrome (BBS) is a rare genetic disease affecting every organ system in the body. BBS begins to affect the health of a child before birth and continues to affect daily activities throughout life.

Story

For those of you who may not know of our journey, our oldest son was officially diagnosed with BBS when he was 9 months old. After an agonizing year trying to determine the cause of multiple fetal abnormalities and questioning the quality of life that lay ahead for our newborn baby, we finally had an answer… but not an easy one. It’s a diagnosis we still cope with daily but Nolan is doing phenomenally well and exceeding expectations in just about every way. He is a book-reading, music-loving, bike-riding six year old boy who captures the heart of everyone he meets ❤️

Proceeds from this campaign will go directly to support research at the Marshfield Clinic, the only health system in the US that specializes in the care for patients with BBS. As this disease is so rare, we will likely depend on the Marshfield Clinic in the future and a donation of any size will help make a difference for Nolan and others living with BBS. Thank you for your support!
