Story
One year ago, our shipmate, BMC Frankie Quilantang’s family was devastated by the sudden passing of their son, Nolen Anthony. Nolen was diagnosed with Myoclonic Epilepsy in 2018 when he was just 15 years old and sadly passed away just before his 18th birthday. He was otherwise completely healthy and was an active young man who loved playing football and earned straight A’s in advanced classes. Nolen passed away from an uncommon condition called SUDEP which stands for Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy, a condition where 1 in 1000 people who are diagnosed with epilepsy pass away from. To help raise awareness and pay tribute, I invite you to participate in Nolen’s 1st Annual charity to Cure Epilepsy.
