GameBlast18 is due to take place on 23rd-25th February. During the event a number of companies and kind-hearted individuals will come together, running their own gaming marathons and fundraising events to raise money for SpecialEffect.
SpecialEffect is an incredible charity who help people with a wide range of disabilities to explore the pleasure of gaming again. They provide specialised equipment which can allow users to play using only their eyes, feet, mouth, or whatever is needed to aid the individual. For somebody who can’t move, can’t leave their home, or experiences a sensitivity to touch, these things can be life-changing.
Nomad Games will be kicking off the event on Twitch and YouTube at 10 am (GMT). Staff will be taking part in a live-stream of the physical Talisman board game, and viewers will be able to contribute to a ‘cheat jar’ for each player. This will allow players to pay for illegal moves throughout the game, such as £5 to avoid being ‘Toad-ed’, £1 for an extra ‘fate’, £2 for an extra turn… To add to a player’s pot, leave their name in the comments section with your donation. You can contribute to as many players as you like, as much or as little as you like.

We're also asking you all to play or stream a Talisman game over the weekend, you can use our Just Giving page for your sponsorship donations. Just tell your supporters to leave a note to say who they're sponsoring.
Whichever individual raises the most sponsorship will win a fantastic Talisman game bundle including a signed Talisman board by John Goodenough - designer for the Revised 4th Edition of Talisman! More details to follow on the prize bundle.
Also, the first 13 people to donate £7 (or the equivalent in local currency) and name a card they would like, will win a character card signed by John Goodenough, and the chance to win a signed Talisman card, or one of our special, rare cards…
