Story

Hello and Welcome to the No Mercy Wales Just Giving page!

A LITTLE ABOUT US
No Mercy is a Charity gaming marathon that has been operating over the last 3 years, with 4 events in total raising thousands of pounds for the likes of Macmillan, Alzheimer's Society, WWF and a Personal fundraiser for Immunotherapy treatment which was worth £250,000, which isn't covered by the NHS. The aim of the game: to raise money for good causes and people anywhere in the world!

No Mercy is a yearly event that has become very close to people's hearts over the last 3 years, and we've wanted to grow and involve more people with the same aim as the event: to give a little back.

We want to welcome 2 of our long time supporters, Maddy and Daf, to the team! This year they will be playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare FOR 24 HOURS, in aid of SpecialEffect, a charity that is dedicated to improving the quality of life for those living with disabilities through the power of gaming! Here's what they have to say for themselves:

WHO ARE SPECIALEFFECT
We put fun and inclusion back into the lives of people with physical disabilities by helping them to play video games.

By using technology ranging from modified joypads to eye-control, we're finding a way for people to play to the very best of their abilities. But we're not just doing it for fun. By levelling the playing field, we're bringing families and friends together and having a profoundly positive impact on confidence and rehabilitation.

If you have a physical disability that limits or stops you from playing video games, get in touch. We have a range of accessible gaming equipment to try out in our Games Room in Oxfordshire, and there’s also the option of a home visit if your disability limits your ability to travel. We may also be able to loan you equipment following an assessment, so you can try before you buy.

We’ll do our best to help you play the games you want to play, and if your needs change, we’ll come back to look at alternative solutions that will keep you going to the best of your abilities.

There’s no charge for any of our help, so if you think we might be able to assist, get in touch.

From modified gaming controllers to eye-control systems, every system we recommend or loan is personalised. Sometimes that might mean adding voice control or a chin joystick. Or we might get the drill and the soldering iron to adapt the button positions on a controller. There are hundreds of solutions in countless combinations, and it’s our job to find the right one.

WHAT WE'RE ASKING YOU FOR
We ask that you give as much as you can for this truly wonderful charity, who's aim lines up with one of our goals: pleasure and entertainment through gaming!

If you have any queries, comments or even want to get involved with helping us fundraise for these wonderful people, then head over to our Facebook page and drop us a message at https://www.facebook.com/NoMercy24Hours/

We want to thank you in advance for all your kind and generous donations, because without YOU, this doesn't happen.
