COVID-19 Yemen Appeal
Yemen is facing the worst humanitarian disaster in the world with 24 million people needing humanitarian assistance including 12 million children.
With the rate of coronavirus increasing in the country, current data shows a 27.5% mortality rate in Yemen (Source: UN Yemen). Hospitals are advised to turn away anyone displaying COVID-19 symptoms. Hospital staff urgently need to equip quarantine centres to prevent further spread of the virus in a country already overwhelmed with the effects of war and poverty.
Noor Orphans Fund is raising funds to provide desperately needed items to equip quarantine centres in Yemen during the global coronavirus pandemic.
These items include: laser thermometers, medical blankets, pillows, masks, gloves, hand sanitisers and other items which are essential in providing care to the patients of the quarantine centres and containing the spread of the virus.
