I'm taking on the London Marathon in April 2023 to raise funds for the Royal Veterinary College Animal Care Trust! Their mission to improve the treatment and care of animals is something I find worthwhile, and knowing that I am running for every animal in need is the motivation to get me to the end of those 26.2 miles.

I'm currently studying to be a veterinarian at the Royal Veterinary College (only 1.5 more years to go!!). Part of why I’m working to become a vet is because animals will always need someone to stand up for their health and welfare, and I have always wanted to be that person. The Animal Care Trust works to provide animals in need with the best clinical services and treatment, and I believe that every animal, regardless of what how big or small their need, deserves that amount of care. There will always be the next patient for whom we think, if only our medicine could do this for them. There will always be an owner who comes in with their animal and leaves in grief because our current medicine simply isn’t enough. However, at the same time, there are people out there who have been able to avoid such a loss because of what the Animal Care Trust has been able to do - with the CT machine that found the tumour, or the blood transfusion that was exactly what the animal needed, and this is one of the reasons why I stand wholeheartedly behind what the Animal Care Trust does.

Being able to run for the ACT and knowing I have the full support of everyone on here will be one of the most energising and rewarding things I have ever done in my life! I would not be able to do it without the support of you all, my community. Thank you so much for your support, and see you at the finish line in April!
