Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Men of Steel are off on one of their Autumnal Rambles in November ( on or around 21st depending on weather & tides). Those with memories will remember that, last year, we went off and "rambled" up the Peddar'sWay, raising over £1700 for Save the Children.
This year we are going to raise a similar amount for the Merle Boddy Day Centre. This is a wonderful charitable organisation set up to provide a warm and friendly Social Day Care Service for people living with mental health problems, including dementia and other disabilities, in Swaffham and the surrounding area.
It can always do with more funding as the the needs of our community continue to grow, so we want to make an effort and help close that gap.
In the meantime , I must try and find my boots and complete our extensive training programme!
The walk is going to start at Sherringham, climb the largest mountain in Norfolk, Beeston Bump, over to Roman Camp, a brief diversion to Incleborough Hill ( 79 metres above sea level no less!!!) before descending into Cromer (ice cream in hand) before heading back along the beach to the car.
I hope you will all find ways to help us.
The Men are Stephen Ward, Andrew Stephen andDavid Impey, all of whom met though and have been Members of Rotary Club ofSwaffham.
