Thanks for taking the time to visit Norman’s JustGiving page.

Norman lives in a sheltered housing development in Edinburgh and came to me after watching Captain Tom and his amazing achievement on the news.

Norman said he would like to walk a marathon in the garden of the development, no mean feet for someone who uses  a walker and struggles to walk to the local shop. Never the less I said I would help to set up a page and work out the logistics. Norman then said he would like to do it in 5 days!!

We worked out that Norman would need to do 270.5 laps of the garden which would be 54 laps a day with 55 laps on the last day. Even after hearing this Norman was still keen so we got the ball rolling. 

Here is what Norman said...

My Name is Norman Young and I am planning to walk a marathon in my garden in just 5 days. 

Having been inspired by Captain Tom I have decided I am going to try to walk a marathon in aid of the NHS. 

The NHS are doing a amazing job and we all own them a great deal of gratitude. I hope I can add to the amazing work they are doing with any donations I can.
