Edinburgh Marathon Festival Team Relay 2019 · 26 May 2019 ·

St Columba’s exists to give everyone who needs it the very best Hospice Care. We provide support to patients and their families in our hospice facility and reach out to people in their homes and local communities. We couldn’t do it without our amazing supporters!

Story

Welcome to my FIRST Just Giving fundraising page!

Myself & these three great guys are hoping to raise funds to help St. Columba's Hospice.

The race details:

The EMF Hairy Haggis Team Relay is an opportunity for a team of 4 runners to take part in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival. The 26.2 miles is split into 4 legs, each runner will run one leg.

Kevin McGinley is doing the first leg - 8.3 miles (Potterrow to Musselburgh Links)

I will be doing the second - 5.5 miles (Fisherrow Links to Port Seton Links)

Ross McDowell is doing the third - 8 miles (Port Seton - Longniddry - Gosford House - Port Seton)

Kevin Taylor is getting ALL the glory - 4.4 miles! (Port Seton - Pinkie St. Peter's primary, Musselburgh).

This is why we are doing this run:

Carol lost her fight against a cancerous tumour on July 25th last year at St. Columba's Hospice, despite a lengthy bout of chemotherapy & a separate medical trial at Edinburgh Western General Hospital's Cancer unit - another organisation we are indebted to for their dedication to the fight against Cancer.

Carol was an amazing person: Beautiful, thoughtful, loving, fun, clever & organised to a fault!

We loved & adored each other & it breaks my heart that I no longer have my beautiful angel by my side.

I can't change that, but I can help these guys deliver the best possible care to others & I know that would make Carol very proud.

Please, however large or small the donation - please give & help us reach our target.

A huge thanks from all of us to all of you. x
