Although it is difficult to deliver sport and physical activity in the usual way, the Active Schools team are committed to ensuring that all children in North Lanarkshire receive the opportunity to take part in, and challenge themselves in, a range of different sports and physical activities. 

As you all know, a popular date in the Active Schools calendar is Cross Country. Building on the success of our Active Schools virtual challenges that many of you have participated in pre – Christmas, we would like to invite our school communities to take part in a virtual cross country event on Friday 26^th March.

This event will also provide an opportunity for those taking part to raise funds for our local North Lanarkshire charity - St Andrew's Hospice.
