We provide specialist hospice care to provide dignity when time matters most

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The North Channel, or 'the Sheuch', is the sea strait between Northern Ireland and Scotland. Between the 8th and the 15th August 2021, I'll be attempting this 21 mile open sea crossing on a Prone Paddleboard via the official Donaghadee (Northern Ireland) to Portpatrick (Scotland) route.

This paddle is mostly about the adventure, the personal challenge and raising funds for a good cause.

I'll be doing this paddle in aid of Highland Hospice; a fantastic local charity up here in Inverness that provides palliative care for those faced with life shortening illness or death across the Highlands, and one which supports their families in bereavement. It's been a tough year for charities so any donation you can give would be hugely appreciated.

This paddle was made possible by some generous donations from individuals and businesses to help meet the cost of a support boat. So a huge personal thank you to those individuals and to support from Personal Best, Huunuu and Fletcher Sport Science.
