Fire Fighters Charity provides care and support to the UK’s fire family. It helps with any health and wellbeing challenges firefighters, control staff, and everyone working in – or retired from – the UK’s fire services, as well as their families, may face - during and after service

Story

During Christmas drinks at the end of 2021, it was banded about the Management team of how they should cycle the coast of the Northeast command area.

This was met with hugely enthusiastic nods of agreement and a night of merriment ensued ……

Cue the following Monday morning, the realisation hit, but stoically everyone groaned then ‘manned’ up and agreed this was a fine idea and shall we raise some money while they are doing it.

So, the Northeast Cyclethon was born.

On the weekend of 19th / 20th March GM Simon Dedman, GM Danny Partridge, GM Scott Meekings, SM Carl Pullen, SM Quentin Sage, SM Syd Barrett and SM Stuart Hare will be undertaking the approximate 200km journey along the Northeast coastline of the county.  This is the longest piece of coastline in England.
