Hold Amy’s Hand has joined forces with Bowel Cancer UK to raise awareness of bowel cancer in younger people and create a lasting legacy for Amy Watts, who died in 2015 from bowel cancer aged just 37.

Story

Hold Amy's Hand was formed in January 2015 to raise money for much-loved journalist Amy Watts' life-saving bowel cancer surgery. After a ten day international fundraising marathon, supported by celebs such as  Simon Cowell, Gary Lineker, Matt Goss, Barbara Windsor and members of the public we reached our target of 100K.

Sadly Amy passed away on March 5th 2015, too weak for the surgery. In her memory, Hold Amy's Hand continues to fundraise in support of Bowel Cancer UK, as a partner to their Never Too Young campaign. We also raise awareness of bowel cancer in young people.

Our team Northern Star - named in memory of our beautiful Amy will be taking part in a 10k in Amy's home town of Bury to raise funds for Hold Amy's Hand supporting Bowel Cancer UKs Never too young campaign.
