Members of the Northumbria University physiotherapy society are taking on the challenge of completing 80km across the month of March. We are doing this challenge to raise money for the physiotherapy and occupational therapy team based on ward 34 of freeman hospital. They work across ward 33,34 and 35 with cancer patients in and oncology and haematology setting. Raising money will help this team have funds for more equipment for patients which will help meet a wider range of patients needs and individualised care. This allied health professional team work hard on a day to day basis to ensure the patients get the best quality of care and having extra funding will help support this.
