Story

With 'Non-Elite' football suspended following latest COVID-19 restrictions, Northwich Villa Under 15's are taking on a virtual challenge visiting all their favourite football clubs.

Starting at Hibernian FC in Edinburgh, the players will Run, Walk and Cycle 439 miles to Chelsea FC in London, visiting the Etihad Stadium, Old Trafford, Liverpool and Stoke along the way.

The club are unable to train and play matches so this is a great way to keep the lads motivated and training during Lockdown. The players will be running, cycling and walking from their homes and logging their collective miles to reach London!

It's been a tough year for junior football but Head Coach, Steve Roberts and his team (all volunteers) have kept the team busy with regular training and matches. Many matches were played behind closed doors due to restrictions but Assistant Coach, Ewan has kept the parents up-to-date with the action, posting real time updates in the parents WhatsApp Group.

The team will be raising money for 2 charities close to their heart, Cancer Research UK and St Luke's Cheshire Hospice.
