Byte Night London · 3 October 2014 ·

We protect and support children and young people, providing practical and emotional care and support. We ensure their voices are heard, and campaign to bring lasting improvements to their lives. Our vision is that every child and young person has a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to thrive.

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page! On Friday 3rd October, a team from Norton Rose Fulbright will be giving up their beds for one night to take part in Byte Night and raise money for Action for Children. They will join participants from across the IT industry to spend a night exposed to the elements outside Norton Rose Fulbright’s London office. They will experience for one night a little of what thousands of children and young people feel every night when they have no bed to go home to.

The shocking truth about youth homelessness in the UK:

  • It is estimated up to 100,000 young people were homeless last year across the UK
  • Up to 2/3 of young people are on the streets due to conflict with their family
  • Up to 1 in 3 homeless young people will attempt suicide
  • 1 in 7 will have been physically or sexually assaulted

Together we hope to make these statistics disappear. To learn more about some of the real people Byte Night has helped, please visit www.bytenight.org.uk.

We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
