Story
We would like to ask for your support in a charitable fundraising event Norwest Foods have decided to participate in July 2023, raising funds for a charity close to our hearts, Dementia UK.
Dementia UK is a specialist dementia charity that provides life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia. They have specialists with over 40 years’ experience and a team comprised of clinicians and academics with extensive knowledge of health and social care. Their aim is to one day be able to provide every family facing dementia with not only the knowledge on symptoms, causes and various forms of dementia, but also life changing support. Being a charity, they rely heavily on the support from fundraising events such as this, they really do make a difference!
The event itself is both a mental and physical challenge where our team will have to navigate an all-action, 10km, 20 section obstacle course. For those of you who are not familiar with Tough Mudder, they don’t do anything lightly! The course is made up of outrageous world-famous obstacles including an ice plunge, forty-foot-high climbing net, a submerged cage crawl, electroshock therapy and a mud mile, to name a few… We have a team of 18 fantastic individuals from management, commercial, logistics, technical and accounts, who will take on this mammoth event at Heaton Park in Manchester on Saturday 15th July 2023.
To re-iterate, Dementia UK is a charity that’s close to our hearts and has become our nominated charity. We’ve decided to take part in Tough Mudder this year to raise further awareness of such an important cause and provide an opportunity for our suppliers, customers, business partners and friends to join us in making a difference.
We would like to kindly ask you to support our teams efforts with a donation, no matter how big or small, it really will make a difference! Norwest Foods have committed to matching the overall amount of funds raised so in order to maximise the opportunity, we would ask you to please donate as much as you can.
Thank you for your time and of course any support you’re able to provide, it will go a long way!
