I am one of the activities coordinators at Dell House. Last year some of the team & my nanny joined me in doing a 6mile memory walk for all of our residents. Those who are no longer with us, those who are with us now & those who will join us in the future 💙 We managed to raise an amazing £1,000. This year we are going to do it all over again (hopefully not on the hottest day again😅) Working in care is so rewarding & not one day is ever the same. We laugh together, we cry together, we listen to their worries, their stories, we hold their hands. Everyday we see the effect of Dementia & Alzheimer's, not only on the individual but also the families. It is truly heartbreaking 💔

Dementia is the UKs biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes and currently there is no cure. We know it is scary but we must confront the biggest health & social care challenge of our time.
