As a full time fire fighter I am well aware of the demands of this important job and the stresses and strains that this type of work puts on individuals, not only physically but mentally as well. Many fire fighters (both past and present) in the UK, as well as my friends and colleagues from the Guernsey Fire and Rescue Service, have required specialist help and rehabilitation after injuries, surgeries or traumatic incidents which they can attend anytime on a daily basis. The Fire Fighters Charity is an excellent platform which all fire fighters have access to when physical or mental rehabilitation is required and the services they provide can get fire fighters fit and back to work so they can continue their chosen profession and help serve the public to the highest of standards.

As the travel business owner of Not Just Travel Channel Islands I have been given the opportunity to travel to Colombia later this year to participate in a Level 5 high difficulty trek to the Lost City of Colombia and I have accepted this challenge in order to raise as much money as possible for the Fire Fighter Charity. We will be in Columbia for approximately 2 weeks from 1st October 2019 with the trek itself taking place over 5 days and 4 nights over tough steep terrain, free flowing rivers and jungle. We will all be carrying everything we require for the trek.

Fund raising events will take place between now and October 2019 so please keep a look out for these. All funds raised will go directly to my chosen charity and will not go towards any costings of the trip itself. If you would be willing to sponsor me for the is challenge in order to raise as much money as possible for The Fire Fighter Charity it would be much appreciated?
