Not the London Marathon Β· 26 April 2020

BASICS Essex emergency medical charity are volunteer doctors and paramedics specially trained to provide advanced life-saving pre-hospital care in Essex, responding to calls at the request of East of England NHS Ambulance Service. We receive no government funding and rely solely upon your donations.

Story

I am running my 27th London Marathon since 1993 and  David Silver in Slat Lake City, Utah, will be running his 6th London race in 6 years in support of the wonderful folk at BEARS Medics.

2020 is a little different and so I will be plodding around the streets of Saffron Walden and surrounding villages. You can follow our progress on the London Marathon App - runner numbers 34243 for me and 33534 for David.

We will all post our times on Strava and are proud to support BEARS Medics, all volunteers supported only by charity donations who do a wonderful job supporting our NHS first responders.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
