Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

I am taking part in the London to Amsterdam Cycle Challenge on 14th June to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.

Cancer is a disease that effects so many of us in different ways, the figures for Prostate Cancer alone are just staggering.

10,000 people a year die from the disease, which is the same as 25 people every day – that’s a whole football squad, which is just shocking.

The work that Prostate Cancer can do to combat this disease and how they will use the money that I’m able to raise gave me the incentive to sign up and take part in what promises to be a fun, but extremely testing challenge.

I would like to dedicate my participation in this ride to two family members, Roger Ivey and Gaynor Taylor.
