Story
Thank you to everyone who donated and helped us exceed our target. There is still a few weeks to donate as more money means more medical supplies.
Pics will be online in a few weeks. The race was great and Patchdog was interviewed by Claire Balding on More 4.
Patch Dog was rescued as a puppy by UK soldiers serving in Afghanistan. The Charity Nowzad Dogs arranged for a young Patchdog to come to the UK to be the charity 'spokedog' to represent the companion animals with no voice left in Afghanistan.
Patchdog & Helene (a Nowzad trustee) are running the DFS Crufts CaniX event (more like Helene being dragged around by Patchdog....), to raise money for medical supplies for the Nowzad animal rescue shelter in Afghanistan.
The Nowzad website www.nowzad.com will have photos of the two determined competitors after the event!
Please support Helene and Patchdog if you are at Crufts and your donation is always appreciated - it will make a difference!
CaniX (canine — cross-country) means running with your dog (any breed). If you are already running with your dog/s — you already do CaniX!
