The Ride+Stride event has been organised by Nottinghamshire Historic Churches Trust (NHCT) annually since 1991. Participants attempt to visit as many churches as possible between 10 am and 6 pm on 12th September by riding (on a bicycle/horse) or striding (walking/running) between them. All sponsorship money raised is shared equally between NHCT (towards the provision of grants for maintaining historic churches in the county) and the participant’s own church.

Last year, I visited 41 churches (including all in our own parish of Wiverton in the Vale), raising sponsorship money for NHCT and St John the Divine, Colston Bassett.

This year will be somewhat more testing with the current restrictions in place but I will take the 2019 figure as a challenge! I would greatly value your support in this venture.
