Story
We are pre-apprenticeship students studying
Mechanical Engineering at NPTC group of colleges.
Our aim
- Is for each of us to ride the equivalent distance from NPTC college to the Cancer research institute in Cardiff and back again. (70miles)
- to collaborate and track our progress using Strava.
- Keep our supporters updated with how we are getting on.
Reasons for this challenge
- Due to the current COVID regulations in Wales we have decided will each ride 70 Miles within a 5 miles radius of our homes.
- We want to help fund research into something which is close to our heart and prevent people from contracting Cancer in the future
- Cancer doesn’t stop for Covid.
- This year, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, hundreds of patients face critical delays to their diagnosis and treatment that could cost them their life.
- We believe that today’s research is tomorrow’s health, and would like to help create a better future for cancer patients in Wales.
- We believe that by completing this challenge we are maintaining virtual contact, which will help both our physical and mental health, whilst also helping a worthy cause.
- For fewer people to feel the fear and heartbreak of cancer.
