Story

Taking on Ben Nevis after a double Hip replacement and heart Surgery !!

This is my last walk to complete the three national peaks in the UK and my lovely family are going to do it with me !!

I work for the NSPCC  and the last eighteen months has been a challenge like no other we have ever faced. The pandemic has made situations for vulnerable children and families much worse. The NSPCC has adapted its services throughout this awful time and continues to be their providing vital support and help to children. By helping me we can ensure the NSPCC can continue to reach out to children who need support and someone to turn too.

£4 pays for a call to Childline £25 pays for NSPCC to support a child with 1-1 counselling. £1600 pays for a Childline volunteer to be trained to work on our phone lines.

This challenge will be the biggest yet filled with real emotion as we are now preparing to take on Ben Nevis in Scotland.

It won't be an easy Challenge I have had lots of surgery in the last five years including both hips replaced, at one point I couldn't even climb stairs never mind mountains!!! I am determined to complete this challenge by sponsoring me you are helping me to have the courage to do it.

I forgot to say I am scared to death of the dark and this climb will be take place over night !! trust me I will be terrified!!

I have already taken on Snowdon and Scarfel pike and raised £5900 so far with my amazing family and  friends I would really like to get this total up to £10,000 which could pay for 2500 calls to Childline.

I have a lovely group of family and friends who are going to take on this challenge with me, Debbie and Dave Baillie, Jackie Rooke, Claire Taylor and Maria Adamson.
