Story

Raising money for such a wonderful charity is an absolute honour for me; places in the London Marathon are extremely limited and I am so humbled to be given this opportunity. Over the past six years, I have been involved in raising money for the NSPCC by helping with different activities and events. It is incredible to see the difference donations make to vulnerable children’s lives.

To be accepted to run the London Marathon is unbelievable and I know that it is going to require a monumental amount of effort. I haven’t done any running for over 20 years and those who know me will understand how difficult I am going to find this. The idea of running 26.2 miles in 9 months time is a scary one but it is a challenge I am going to face head on.

Any amount you can donate will make a difference so thank you.

To give you an idea of how the money helps:

-£4 could pay for one trained volunteer counsellor to answer a child’s call for help to Childline

-£5 could cover the cost of answering a call to the NSPCC helpline

-£1600 could pay to recruit, train and support a new Childline volunteer.

“Every child deserves the best possible chance to rebuild their lives after abuse”
