Milford Care Centre is the designated provider of consultant-led and multi-disciplined specialist Palliative Care services to patients and their families from a number of bases operating in the Mid-West Region. Milford sets out to make sure every patient avails of that patient centred approach and their care services would extend beyond the patient to make sure that the family is fully supported, right into bereavement.

Story

Joseph Conneely passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, on the 24th July 2016 after a long fought battle against brain cancer. Joseph fought his illness with great strength and bravery. He battled through, recovering time and time again from operations and treatments with determination, hope and humour. The 23 years we had with him will be a treasured memory. He had a great sense of humour, and was a very sociable young man. He was kind and caring, strong and good-natured. He was generous and would go out of his way to help others, especially his younger siblings, whom he always wanted to see happy and succeeding in life. He was selfless and always put others first, even in difficult times. He was a gentleman and had a great way about him that made you feel good about yourself. Joseph was always positive and as some described "a gentle giant". A huge fan of all types of sports, he was an avid fan of Everton Football Club and the American Football team The Patriots, and also loved golf and tennis. On the field he was a great competitor and team player and always gave his best.

With the help of the wonderful team of angels at Milford hospice and also North Tipperary Health Authority, Joseph was given the grace and dignity to spend his remaining days comfortable and at home with his loving family. We will be forever grateful for the support to all of us. We wish to raise money to give back some of the support Milford gave to us. We, his immediate and extended family along with a number of friends will be climbing Croagh Patrick on Saturday 17th June 2017.This fundraising is in Joseph's honour to help others in need.

Though we , his Dad and Mum , Tom and Tess ,siblings, Nuala, Niall and Paddy, his many relations and friends, will always miss Joseph’s  presence, we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and is looking down over us every day. Joseph will remain in our hearts and minds forever.

Love you always xx
