Story
We are in a unit of 36 scouts and four adult leaders from around Chester, who have been selected to attend the 2020 European Jamboree in the Polish city of Gdansk next summer.
EuroJam 2020 is the first European Jamboree in 15 years, and up to 25,000 Scouts and Guides are expected to attend. Jamborees are large gatherings of scouts, usually at a national or international level, where young people get together to meet, learn about each other’s different languages, cultures, make friends and have fun by taking part in various activities and challenges.
The thinking behind Eurojam is that every scout has the potential to become a driver for positive social change. EuroJam will help scouts to discover their power and inspire scouts to use their new skills and make a positive difference within local communities and the wider world.
We need to raise our own funds to get us there and are working hard on doing a variety of activities to enable us to attend this adventure- anything you can give would be fantastic and very gratefully recieved- £1 donations welcomed.
