I have signed up to complete my first triathlon in over 30 years, and I thought I’d raise money for an amazing charity to keep me motivated to train for and complete the event.  

NYAS is a leading children's rights based charity who supports children and young people in care. NYAS is on a mission to improve the lives of care experienced children and young people, working to ensure they feel safe, heard, and involved in decisions being made about their lives. NYAS is a leading rights-based charity serving care experienced children and young people across England and Wales. It also works to support young adults leaving care, so often dropped from the system and support they may have had, as a well as young parents who are struggling to keep their kids from going into care, through no fault of their own.

More than ever, children, young people and vulnerable adults are at even greater risk from not having their voices heard or getting the support they deserve. 

I’m really excited about this event (and a bit nervous about my first open water swim), so I hope you can cheer me along and help me to raise money for a great organisation working to ensure children, young people and vulnerable adults have a voice, the support they need and someone to fight for their rights.
