Story

I completed the 183 mile walk from the source of the River Thames to its end at Greenwich over the period 30th June to the 16th July 2014. This was a huge challenge for me. I wanted to do something to raise money to help vulnerable children and adults to gain confidence and skills through farming. You can still support what I have achieved by donating to this website, donating goods and services to the farm or volunteering your time to help with this celebration of 10 years of Vana Trust.

The Vana Organic Farm in Buckinghamshire has, for 5 years, provided a safe and expert environment for 100s of deserving children and adults with a variety of special needs, such as autism, to work in a community environment receiving tailored therapy to address their issues. In addition, they acquire transferrable skills, producing crops and tending animals. They also have the opportunity to go out into the community selling their organic produce at Farmers’ Markets and Farm Shops.

The £20,000 I hope to raise is directly for the projects and I hope to find sponsors for accommodation, clothing, farm supplies and so on.
