On Wednesday Feburary 15th, class 7 & 8 will be helping to plant trees, as part of a community project to strengthen the wildlife habitat links between the ancient woodlands of Ty Canol and Pengelli Forest.

Over twelve days of planting, Tocyn Cymru will plant 3000 trees; filling in gaps and thickening up hedgerows. Creating a robust network for wildlife to travel between the two woodlands as well as habitat niches and micro climates along the way.

The class aims to plant as many trees as they can and are asking for your sponsorship to raise funds for their end of school class trip.

To mark the end of their schooling at Nant-y-Cwm, class 7 & 8 will be going on an epic 11-day interrail trip from Pembrokeshire to Switzerland in June 2023. Stopping off in London, Paris, Lucerne & Engelberg - exploring lakes, glaciers & caves.

The class have recognised the environmental impact of air travel, and as such have chosen to travel by train rather than to fly. However, this has come at extra cost – so we’ve had to up our fundraising efforts. All donations, however small, will go towards their class trip.
