Hull's Pink Collar Boxing Challenge · 6 July 2014

We are a dog rescue charity having been operating since 2008. Our goals and ultimate mission is simple: to rescue, rehabilitate and adopt out dogs to loving forever homes. We have a fantastic setup designed to ensure the highest welfare we can offer dogs in our care.

Story

BEGINNER TO WINNER IN 8 WEEKS | LADIES CHARITY BOXING

" YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE GREAT TO START - BUT YOU HAVE TO START TO BE GREAT "

I am undertaking 8 weeks of training to become a Boxer, at the end of the training (On Sat 23rd August) I have to take part in a Fight at KC Stadium, in a Proper Boxing Ring with lots of Spectators - Gulp!.

I have to choose a Boxing Name Gill 'Something' Williams and a song to come out of the dressing room to - Ideas appreciated!!

I am doing this challenge for Oakwood Dog Rescue, who are a privately funded dog rescue in Hull, which I set up in 2009. We have to continue fund raising daily to ensure we have enough funds to be able to carry on with our work. 2014 has been a difficult year on the money side and we have not been able to help the same number of dogs as last year due to a massive drop in donations.

I would like to raise £1000 by 23/08/2014 from all my friends and FB supporters and maybe some of you will come and support me on the fight day?

This is a massive challenge for me as I don't do fitness or fighting but I plan to give it my all and with your support make it something worthwhile for Oakwood.
